On a trip to the Mara North Conservancy in Kenya, my guide received word one afternoon of a cheetah resting on top of an old termite mound. We were quite far from the location, and the rough terrain made the journey challenging, taking nearly half an hour to reach it.

When we arrived, the cheetah was still there, and we were able to position ourselves perfectly right in front of it. Although it was already late afternoon, the light was still rather harsh. Patiently, I waited for more than an hour for the warm golden light of sunset and captured this image.
