One morning in April, I went out in my floating hide near Copenhagen, Denmark. A pair of Eurasian wigeons were resting on some rocks, and after a while the male entered the water right in front of me, allowing me to capture this image of the beautiful bird in the golden morning light. The image won the annual bird photography competition 2024 hosted by DOF BirdLife Denmark.
