Ever since seeing an image of a red-eyed tree frog for the first time many years ago, I had dreamed that one day I would photograph one myself.
That dream finally came true in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica, where this vibrant amphibian — with its striking red eyes and bright green body — was hanging from a leaf in its natural habitat. An amazing frog with large red eyes and remarkably long, slender legs. And it is only the size of a thumb.
