In a private nature reserve in Costa Rica, I had the opportunity to photograph this broad-billed motmot. As they mainly feed on insects and do not eat fruit, it is not possible to attract them to feeders. Therefore, you have to find the bird deep inside the forest. I was extremely fortunate to have this one perched beautifully on a branch for a few minutes.
