Around 75 percent of the world’s population of black-browed albatrosses breed on the Falkland Islands. While staying on Saunders Island, I had many photographic opportunities, as a colony stretches for several kilometres along the steep northern cliffs near The Neck. As I visited in February, the chicks had not yet fledged, and this image clearly conveys a story of parental care.
