On a trip to Grimsey in Iceland, I had hoped to capture a silhouette image of a puffin against the setting sun. The opportunity came on the last evening at midnight when the almost-setting sun — it does not fully set at this time of year — created a beautiful red sky. Fortunately, a single puffin was standing by the cliffs of Basavik in the northern part of the island and even gave me an open beak pose.
