One afternoon by the shoreline of Lake Kerkini in Greece, I was photographing Dalmatian pelicans. A few of these majestic birds were drifting close to the shore, and I focused on one with an intense red pouch, beautifully isolated against the white water created by the overcast and misty conditions.
