I stayed at a lodge in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica, which had a rooftop terrace beside branches set up to attract birds. One morning, just after sunrise, I set up my gear in the hope of some photographic opportunities. About an hour later, this beautiful yellow-throated toucan appeared briefly, allowing me to capture an image of this unfortunately near-threatened species.
