Most people go on safari to experience predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards. However, I find elephants just as rewarding. In the Mara North Conservancy in Kenya, I came very close to a group of African bush elephants. This young calf stood beautifully, with the tail of an adult in the frame adding a subtle sense of playfulness.
